How it works

Three steps to your health report

Paste your docs URL, let AI detect staleness signals, and get actionable results — no repo required.

Step 01

Paste your docs URL

Drop in the URL of your public docs site — help center, API docs, knowledge base, anything. ReadMe, GitBook, Notion, custom domains — all supported. No repo needed.

Step 02

AI analyzes your docs

We crawl every page, detect staleness signals — outdated dates, placeholder content, version inconsistencies, broken references — then run AI analysis on each page.

Step 03

Get your report

Receive a full health report: page-by-page freshness scores, categorized findings, and prioritized recommendations. Shareable link included.

FAQ

Common questions

What do you need access to?

Just your public docs site URL — nothing else. We crawl only the publicly accessible pages of your documentation. No repo access, no tokens, no OAuth, no code needed.

Is any of my data stored?

We store only the audit results (page scores, staleness findings, recommendations) for 30 days so you can share the report link. We do not store your docs content permanently.

How long does the audit take?

Most audits complete in 1–3 minutes depending on the size of your docs site. If you provide your email, we'll send you the results link when it's ready.

What does 'Current', 'Needs Review', and 'Stale' mean?

Current means the page appears fresh based on available signals. Needs Review means the page shows potential staleness indicators that warrant a manual check. Stale means the page has clear signals of being outdated — old dates, placeholder content, or deprecated references.

Do I need an account to run an audit?

No. The free audit is completely standalone — no sign-up, no login, no credit card. If you want continuous monitoring tied to your code changes, that's the paid product.

How is this different from the paid product?

The free audit analyzes your docs in isolation — it looks for staleness signals in the docs themselves. The paid product connects to your repository and detects drift at the moment a PR is merged, mapping exact code changes to specific docs pages. It's the difference between a one-time health check and continuous, code-aware monitoring.

Every day you wait, docs drift further.
